NIRMANA CHITTANY ASMITA MATRAT ||4||
निर्माणचित्तान्यस्मितामात्रात् ॥४॥
nirmāṇa-cittāny-asmitā-mātrāt ||4||
The mutable self (chitta) is engendered solely by identification with that which is mutable. ||4||
nirmāṇa = (iic.) create; generate; bring forth
cittāni = (acc. pl. n./nom. pl. n. from citta) chitta; all that is mutable in humankind; mind
asmitāḥ = (acc. pl. f./nom. pl. f. from asmitā) self centeredness; identification with that which is mutable in humankind
mātrāt = (abl. sg. m. from mātra) alone
